About Vet Wagon and Dr. Susan Cooke
Dr. Susan Cooke has been practicing veterinary medicine since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After vet school, Dr. Cooke and her husband returned to Washington, D.C. where they met as undergraduates at Georgetown University. She lived and practiced in Washington, D.C. with her husband, 4 children and the "urban zoo" (2 cats, a hamster, a chinchilla and occasional other "fosters").
The Cookes moved to beautiful Round Hill, VA in 2010 and everyone is enjoying the rural setting. New additions to the Cooke family include our sweet Newfoundland Annie, 8 chickens, an ornery rooster, 2 bunnies and 12 adorable pygmy goats. In addition to small animal medicine, Dr. Cooke worked as a staff Veterinarian for the National Aquarium Institute while living in D.C. She is a member of the D.C. Academy of Veterinary Medicine for which she served as President for 2011-2012 and is a member of the AVMA, DCVMA and NVVMA
Megan has been working with Dr. Cooke for over 10 years and has been with Vet Wagon since 2013 (with a brief break to have her second child). Megan has a genuine love of all things animal that started at an early age on her parent's farm in Quicksburg, VA. She currently lives in Manassas with her husband Tony, daughter Olivia, son Tristan and Jessie "the wonder Jack Russell".
